FAQ

What is Breema?

Breema® Bodywork is a holistic approach to wellness that supports you to connect with yourself on a deeper level. Based on the Nine Principles of Harmony, Breema offers tools to cultivate real physical, mental, and emotional health. This approach allows you to move beyond patterns of stress, and discover natural ways of being that support your well-being.

Breema is a practical, hands-on method that brings a profound sense of unity and harmony to those who practice it. Through a unique blend of bodywork and Self-Breema exercises, energy lost to tension is conserved, and becomes available for our body’s innate self-healing mechanisms.

The Nine Principles of Breema provide a foundation for increasing balance and harmony in your personal and professional life.
The Nine Principles of Harmony can support both patient and practitioner. They are foundational to Breema, and support balance between body, mind, and feelings. These principles include:
  1. Body Comfortable
  2. No Force
  3. Firmness and Gentleness
  4. No Judgment
  5. Single Moment/Single Activity
  6. No Hurry/No Pause
  7. Full Participation
  8. Mutual Support
  9. No Extra
Every one of the Nine Principles of Harmony can support you to experience body-mind connection and greater harmony, in the session and in your daily life.
No experience is necessary! This training is designed for healthcare professionals from various fields, whether you’re new to Breema or looking to deepen your practice.

Breema can be incorporated into patient sessions to help decrease stress, support body-mind connection, and for a direct experience of feeling supported physically, mentally, and emotionally during the session. Practitioners in medicine, acupuncture, psychotherapy, physical therapy, and bodywork can use Breema to complement their treatments and prevent burnout. As one’s inner posture towards patient care changes, this supports the practitioner-client relationship, which can enhance the experience of mutual support and mutual benefit. The small physical interactions become much more pleasing for both doctor and patient, and even just listening with a stethoscope, administering an injection, shaking hands, or doing any sort of bodywork becomes a part of the healing experience.

This training is ideal for medical practitioners, acupuncturists, chiropractors, therapists, bodyworkers, movement therapists, and healthcare providers who want to integrate somatic healing into patient care.

Yes! Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion, which may count toward continuing education credits, depending on your professional field.
